As a West Ham fan suffering for years under Terence Brown I have prayed that someone, anyone would buy my club, i have watched us sack one of the best managers in the country even if he is partial to a bung, and watched us be relegated, but in light of the proposed take over I'm not sure anymore as no-one seems to know where he got his money from, there are also very strong ties between him and Roman Abrahmovich, who most people think is in the Russian Mafia. I am also worried that my Community club will end up either hated like Chelsea or as reported Chelsea's feeder club and this for obvious reasons is not good for any club. I do believe though that foreign players can only be good for the game and can give a lot to Youngsters coming through at a team, Think what influence Zola, Cantona, Henry and many others have done for their respective clubs, although maybe there should be a spending cap which would not only bring British players price's down e.g. 7 million for Crouch, Ashton etc it would also scare off anybody just wanting to buy a club (people that nothing about football e.g. Malcolm Glazier) because everyone would be equal financially which would mean its not just one club getting all the best players

I think this is a very Bad thing,I also have a major problem with all these clubs buying foreign players when we have so much talent here in the UK.
All these Football Academy's are giving our youngsters false hopes because only a few ever go on to play football for top clubs.
I think there is too much corruption in the game now and this is probably why we can only get Foreign investors.

keep our football in the uk
also there should be no players from outside this country in our own teams
its english football or should i say british i do get confused
give our talent a chance how many good uk players sit on benches each week give them chance to evolve
we play our way always have.
dont say we cant learn from outside but we dont need the foreign players to adapt a style or type of play
football is going away from being a sport to being another corpotrate money making business with the poor fans paying through the nose so clubs can spend millions on players

I think its a disgrace and typical of this country! We sell off all our best industries and companies to the extent where very few are left. We let other nations run our businesses and then wonder why prices go up and jobs go down. Look at Chelski and you will see what I mean - ticket prices are now sky-high and the number of Academy players in the first team has gone down.
Where are all the English millionaires???

Either you believe in the "free market" or you don't...You can't believe in freedom that stops at the border, it makes no sense. So if you believe that complete freedom of ownership is a good thing (leading for instance to an entire nation growing from nothing to a world power in about 200 years) then you have to applaud foreign ownership; If on the other hand you think trade stops at the border and should be controlled by central government (think USSR....oh wait, they went out of business...) then you should restrict foreign ownership.

look at what happened to nascar. You have two drivers, one of them forfeiting his chance to win, because the person he LETS BEAT HIM, DRIVES A CAR OWNED BY THE SAME PERSON!!!!! screw nascar, and screw the salesof theseteams on such a frequent basis, because one day its all going to be the same person owning every team, and then what happens when a team in last place takes a flop to see another team of the same owner advance closer to the championship
