If you need something easy take a two liter bottle and poke three holes in it close to the bottom making the holes go up and down. fill the bottle with water and put the lid on it. With the lid it will not flow out through the holes. When you take the lid off try to see which hole "pees" the farthest. is the the top hole, middle, or the bottom one? Why do you think that is ? The answer of course is air flow

A relatively simple project would have you suspend strip samples of cloth (from a horizontal rod?) into a basin filled with water and (red?) food dye. Different materials (wool, cotton, mix, synthetic) and weaves (loose, tight, thick, thin, etc.) should suck up water and dye to different heights. Use this to explain capillary attraction and wetting. Make at lest two samples of each cloth so that you can experiment at home to "design" the exhibit. Be sure to label samples (cotton terrycloth, etc.). Good luck.

make a model of a model rwh(rain water harvesting ) city
in this city there will be a water drawned city having an elec. department, a home which will be specially designed and a electric pole
it has foll objectives 1) to use water to produce elec.
2) to make avialable an alternative electric suuly at floodtime as all elect. is switched off by the elec. dep. to avoid it go in water
3)to increase underground water table
many other....and its so easy and cheap and creative too

um make an insecticide from tobacco leaves and detergent soap mixed w/ a little bit of gas and colors that u like but just 5 colors i mean food coloring.., taaadddddaaaahhhh., but that in your volcano that is suggested by the first answer in ur question itll create smoke for 5 hours just put in vinegar if the smoke is fading away the smoke that will comeout will do the colors u chosed its really nice and oh also put just a little bit of cologne 2 smell.., thats all i did it once and won 2nd price..,

Try making an electric motor
Just wind up a laminated copper wire on an empty camera reel and then rotate it in a magnetic field between two magnets. Current will be induced in it and you can easily show it by lightening a bulb

foro volcano - you can also have water with sodium pellets - pelletts will explode in water like crackers

other ideas are - you can make a artificial small wind mill or turbine with some wheels of a old watch and a waterfall from a height to generate electricity

well for one of the science fairs i was in i finger printed about 30 people and then looked up the different types of finger prints and put every print in a different catagory. i printed pics of the different types and put them on my back board so the judges could look at them and had the actual finger print cards there for them too look at.i won second place using that project.

u can go for the all time favourite volcano...nearly half of ur classmates will do the same....
but if want to do something different go for some circuit kinda thing....i did the same in my 10 grade...
