OoooWeee Does it hurt! I have done it 3 times within 3 months. The first time I broke out in a cold sweat due to the pain. Not only from the hot wax in such a sensitive area, but the ripping of the hair Ouch!

The second time, I think I had a mini panic attack thinking it would hurt just the same, but it was much better. Don't get me wrong, it hurt, but not like the first time.

The third time, it still hurt, but it still wasn't like the first time.

From what I'm learning is to go every 3 weeks instead of waiting for the month. Make sure that they use a hardening wax and not the strips. That's worst. And make sure you stick with one particular waxer. They usually will know what works best for you, plus you don't have too many people looking at your yahoo. I would never do it on my own. Too much pain and someone else can pull quicker.

Anyway, I think I'm hooked on it...as far as how it looks. Plus the bikinis always look better with 'em.

Yes to both! you can get bikini waxing Deon professionally as well as home kits from veet.

It is not difficult to do and can be pain full if you do not do it right. You really need to yank hard to minimise the pain. Not slow and softly but quickly.

I recommend that the first few times you have it done professionally, than get a home kit.

The first time may be a little uncomfortable occasionally, but on the whole not that bad. If it is done professionally you will hardly feel any real discomfort if at all.

It hurts the first time the most but only because of how tense you are due to the anticipation. After getting it done a few times, the hairs are much thinner so they come out much easier. Go to a professional and be sure they do this all the time and that it isn't just one aspect of their job. Either you or they should hold the skin tight so there's less of a tugging on the skin, hence the pain. The "hurt" people talk about literally goes away in less than 5 seconds after the wax is removed.

If your going on holiday Professional Waxing is the only way to go, you stay hair free for about 4-6 weeks. ( i get mine done once a year for my hol it costs about a fiver) There is no little itchy spots that you get with shaving and no rash....if you are just doing it for cosmetic purposes use a DIY kit...

Your question about it hurting ....ermm...ye it does hurt like...but the results are fab!!

Get a professional.

I learnt the hard way. 2 days before me and my bf were going on holiday, I asked him to wax me. The pain was excruciating and it bruised so badly it took a week to go away and I had to go hunting for a new bikini with short bottoms! So I ended up with half a bikini wax done (there was no way I was letting him near the other side!) and he had to fork out £25 for a new bikini (it was his fault!)

It's more surprise than hurt and you do get used to it. Don't do it at home if you have never done it before. I had to end up going to work with wax strips stuck to my bikini area and under my arm until I could get home and soak them off in the bath.

It does hurt, but it gives the best result for longer. If its your first time, get it done by a professional so you can see the technique, then try it yourself next time.

Diy kits are ok, but a bit fiddly. it does hut, i would be lying if i said otherwise but it is not unbearable. also with up to 4 weeks before regrowth it is worth it.
