Human beings are social by nature. No one really wants to be alone. Circumstances in life may isolate you from other people, but don't shut others off. It is just not healthy with regards to mental health. Start mingling with others.

You need to muster enough strength to step out of the box. Not saying that you need to jump full force into the work but try doing something new like once a week so you have the opportunity to meet new people. Join a gym, take a class, or just walk along the beach and say hello to people as they pass by. The more you get out and try to make contact with people the better you'll feel. You might even make some new friends along the way. It's all about baby steps.
