What is the 'going rate' per hour at weekends? I'm not expecting the money to be brilliant. It will be in the North West of England (Ashton in Makerfield) to be precise (near Wigan).

you could also try 'mystery shopping' i do this, it is good fun and you earn money. I also get to go on meals and stay in hotels for nothing.

Well done on deciding to debt bust, but I'm afraid bar work is about £5 an hour and not very fun. But if you just do all the hours you can then you'll have saved up in no time!

Dependant on age there is a minimum wage but you could become subject to tax if you earn between 06/04/06 and05/04/07 over approx £4,700.00

Minimum wage but if you save up every penny you earn like scarifying your social life, buying clothes etc..then you should be alright. Goodluck.

Minimum wage, until you are bar manager, then its minimum wage + some. (Not much)
