The eyes are the window of the soul, does anyone pay any attention to that, or just the body? What is most important these days, beauty inside or outside, when first meet?

For me it's.... personality, height, smile, eyes. In that order. From my personal experience when you really like someone's personality, you just like everything about them... even things that some people may deem as flaws. Some people may be shallow but after a while they will realize that physical beauty means NOTHING if you have an ugly personality.
I'd pick an average looking guy with a great personality over "good looking" jerk anyday!

well truthfully, when at a club it is the person's package(body)that first caught the eyes. When you get to know the personality, then you'll decide whether to keep the package or toss it out. For me the personality makes him a keeper. Sometimes the personality is wrap in the wrong package. The personality could be wearing polyester, have acne, short, bald, wearing magnifying glasses, so what we do, bypass that personality for the guy that is well dress and looks like Brad Pit as he did in Troy. Except this personality beats the chit(not a curse) out of you, literally. And as you lay on the floor chitting yourself you think of the polyester, acne, short, bald and wearing magnifying glasses personality, knowing that he will never have a chance with you. Next week you'll choose the Brad pit looking personality again......Why cant we have it all?.. looks and personality.

The eyes are the first to get my attention but the personality will keep my attention. What is on the inside lasts when beauty fades.

Hello, The beauty of the inside is always best , if it is good then the outside will be made to look better. What kind of person you are on the inside depends whether what you put on the outside was a waste of time.

Well, there has to be a certain amount of attraction when your first meet, you don't look at an ugly guy ans say wow...I'm sure he's got a great personality! Once you are attracted physically, it's the personality that will keep you together.
My husband has got the bluest eyes you've ever seen, and that's what i noticed first
Mind you...i do like a good butt!!! Loosen up my buns baby.... ;-)

The most important thing, is PERSONALITY OR INNER BEAUTY.
Despite the fact that you might not have a blonde hair, beautiful eyes or slimmy figures, but if you have a great personality, it will eventually shines, showing off to the world!
When teenagers are still confused about themselves, they tend to look for the "hot" boys and girls, but as they reached maturity, they would eventually realise that inner beauty is more valueable, and the external beauty is also becoming as great as the inner beauty.
So, yes, personality.

Being physically attracted to someone is nice, but if they are ugly on the inside it is a big turn off.
If one would pay attention to the eyes one could get a glimpse of what kind of person he/she is.
Myself, I go for the personality and the intelligence of a person. They don't have to be super smart but motatavation to grow is a big plus in my book.

It is very heartening that most of the people answering your question, even though they are probably quite young, have given great emphasis to personality.
Physical beauty/handsomeness is a great attraction, but it does not, indeed can not, last. Even frequent cosmetic surgery is notthe answer. (In any case, who wants to see the top of one's partner's scalp move every time s/he smiles?!)
Nature will always have the last word as far as looks are concerned, but many people are sharp minded and pleasant to be with even in their 80s.
When that handsome guy/beautiful girl to whom you were intially attracted turns out to have the personality of a jelly fish, and the intelligence of a snail, you'll be glad you found a person whom you are proud to let others meet, and who, when left by his/herself at, for example, at a party, isn't going to let you down by being seen by others as a dunderhead!
Of course, if you find a good looking partner who is both bright and good to be with, then consider yourself fortunate and stay with him/her.

Personality most definately. Anyone can put on makeup and nice clothes, but how much will that matter like 50 years from now? True beauty lies within.
