Hey, I really want to annswer this question cause , i am a proud owner of a FIAT PALIO myself. i have a 2003 model palio-diesel elx. i am not going to lie with u cause its one hell of a car. The only problem with palio is that it lacks the service that it deserves.
You wont belive it but i have spent last 3 yrs(30000 kms) with my car without any major trouble. The FIAT PALIO has the engine that can overtake any average sedan thanks to its 1900 CC diesel engine. And to add it has the suspension that can shame the corrolla and further more its build quality is excellent.

But its very sad to say that Fiat has the worse service network in india. but after the TATA-FIAT tieup things will be looking good for the PALIO. And soon there will be a new face lit for the PALIO in jan 2007. so wait and watch my friend......

And the figures....
in 2006 the PALIO has been the very few cars that have been sold in india. I REALLY WISH THAT WOULD HAVE CHANGED.

Palio rocks.. bye

thats a very difficult answer to give.. really worked on finding it.. but the tata-fiat joint venture makes it difficult to find the true figures... though one line stated that they crossed one billion together over the yrs.. sorry.. i tried though..
