Well, that all depends what type of movies he's into. If he likes violence or westerns, "The Proposition" would be an excellent choice. If he likes history (albeit a little distorted), show him "The Patriot" with Mel Gibson. For a classic comedy, how about Monty Pythons Holy Grail.

Don't know what you like, but if you like funny stuff, I thought "Napoleon Dynamite" was funny. The latest Antonio Banderas film about teaching teenagers to dance would be good, if it was a girl and boy watching together. It just depends on what you like. You can read about the movies on the back and determine if it is what you would want to see with a boy if you are a girl. If you don't want to be embarrassed, go with the GP ratings.
