they dont catch everything. if you really want your pc to speed up, save all your files on discs and reboot your pc to like new "out of the box." youd lose your programs though but if you have the discs just load them again. your pc will run like new. just dont go to pornsites or other suspicious websites after, it would slow down again :P

What graphics card are you using? This shouldn't make a difference with your browsing speed. If you have wireless, make sure other people are not leeching on to your connection and stealing your bandwidth. Also, downloading and streaming reduces bandwidth. A couple things you can do: Clean your desktop. Many icons reduce processing speed. Make sure your hard drive is not full. Make sure you are not running 100 programs at once. eg. word, excell, msn, skype, aim, explorer, itunes etc. Your 3gb or RAM should be able to take it but the less programs you have open the faster it will run. Hope that helped.

Perhaps it is your ISP? ...or the modem or the router, perhaps even the cable or the NIC itself (if that's what you're using)--any number of things could be wrong, especially considering you've only looked at things on your PC. Check all that other stuff, see how they look.

Your bottleneck is GPRS ... its as slow as dialup if you are too far from the receiver site ... keep in miind, your signal out isn;t as strong as the signal in ... and you are subject to any other radio interference or obscurra in the neighborhood

Try this, IE limits your max downloads, which effects speed in many cases.
