abstemious_entity: i agree with you, one has to have the strenght to get up and face the world again. i get my strength from my mom. she's an abslute pillar, i'd be lost without her. i also believe that no matter how bad things are, they DO work out in the end somehow. thanx

My husband is my rock and support but ultimately it would be my mom. Diagnosed at 17 months old with cerebral palsy in a time when most people would hide their disabled children away, with my grandmother's love and guidance my mother walked, went to school, graduated from college, married and raised 2 daughters. She is the epitome of strength to me and always will be.

Dependency on others in life is inescapable in one's life. The relationship built in the family and carefullly nurturred friendship come handy in times of need. it may vary person to person that who in the family and who among the friends come in the hour of need? the strength derived thus makes one to overcome obstaccles and failures,. But one has to study the weakness in himself and convert as strength to overcome certainn problems in life and wherever opportunities exist, utilise them to overcome failures.

i read it somewhere..."It only takes one person to believe in you"...

sometimes it's my family, sometimes it's my friends, but all of those times, it always requires a conscious choice from me to just keep on going. i always tell my friends this, "it's not that we fall, but it's on how you pick yourself up and recover from that fall". and as for me, i keep psyching myself when i get so down and say, "it's just another test. if you don't do it, then who else will? it's your life! if you stay in this rut, you're going to be stuck in it for the rest of your life!" this kind of psyching seems to work for me because i hate being in a stagnant situation. :)

you? how do you pick yourself up?
