trying to remove firefox?

Question

when i try and uninstall firefox from the add remove programs of the control panel section. my pc just freezes. And my pc says not to remove inter win dvd player as this will effect other programs any ideas if this is true or how i solve these

you might try booting into safe mode and uninstalling or else check if you have any backups before installing firefox.

You shouldn't need to uninstall Firefox, but if the start menu uninstaller and Add/Remove programs don't work, delete the firefox directory and clean it from the registry somehow.

Wait a minute, do you mean InterVideo WinDVD? I don't know why that would be important...

Well this happening because the browser software must be using/sharing some DLL file or SYS file with any other software.

if you have message as this then...they are for your .. good

deleting tht file would be fatal for your other applications,& you can leave tht particular and remove other files.

might be possible tht your DVD player is using Firefox browser drivers and you might have to remove those softwares before you uninstall firfox.

well,but u can reinstall them later.

remove the files manually, C:/>Program Files>Firefox>DELETE THE FILES IN THE FIREFOX FOLDER

delete the firfox directory then the short cuts then use regclean 4.3 to delete it from registry
