You have to give good advice to get the best answer. Try to think it through from the questioners point of view and make sure that you thoroughly answer the question. If you look at it from different angles, you are more likely to hit on an answer that they like. Also if you write a lot of words, they might give you the best answer score, just because they think you tried, even if they were too lazy to actually read through the whole answer.
So here are the ways you get the best answer:
1. Answer lots of questions. The more you answer, the more likely you are to get a best answer.
2. Answer the question that is being asked.
3. Think through the answer - providing a link is helpful.
4. Provide a helpful answer. Something that the person can actually use. Many times these questions are really problems that people want to solve, and your advice will be what will help them solve it.
5. Answer the question as if it was a friend who asked you, and they were not going to ask anybody else. Don't lead them down the wrong path.
6. Take the question seriously. You don't want to hurt the person's feelings for asking the question.
Good luck to you! I'm sure you will be able to get the best answer within a day if you follow this advice.

I've looked at your answers page and discovered that your answers tend to be very generic and lacking in detailed specifics. If you want a "Best Answer" you have to provide specific advice to a question or specific information to an inquiry. For example, you answered one guy's request for information about where to get books by saying that "they're everywhere." If you think about it, that's not very useful advice. If these texts are as readily available as you say, then provide specific websites where he can go. The key is detailed specificity. That's how you do it.

Give good answers to things you know and funny and sarcastic answers to others. My best answer rate is 11% but it will be going down now that I just answered you because I know you won't pick me on this one. Oh well, I'll just have to give a few other good answers tonight.
