Jus try the questions and then consult the teacher. The teachers will be very happy to clear yr doubts.
And ya, concentrate on what steps u r taking while solving a problem. Ok

Mathematics is a precise discipline and should be treated as such. A common mistake is to rush and then find a wrong answer or get stuck...
When you approach a question make sure first that you understand well any assumptions/concepts involved and read the question several times if necessary to ensure you understand what is being asked. You could underline or highlight key words if this helps.
When working be RUTHLESSLY precise and progress through each step of your solution logically. You will find if you use the techniques you have learnt in class and work with precise logic through a question you should come up with a valid solution.
Above all hard work and practice are important, also mental fitness; if you are having trouble to concentrate and focus ensure you are getting enough sleep at regular times and eat and drink well, drink water or juice rather than sugary or caffeinated drinks.

IT'S A WELL KNOWN FACT THAT PRACTICE MAKES MAN PERFECT. MANY A TIMES PEOPLE HAVE THIS MENTALITY THAT MATHS IS DIFFICULT. THEY DO NOT EVEN TRY THEIR HANDS ON IT. IT IS VERY GOOD THAT U HAVE ACCEPTED THAT U R WEAK IN MATHS N U WANT TO IMPROVE IT. THEY SAY "KNOWING THE DISEASE IS HALF CURED". 1ST MATHS IS NOT A SUBJECT U CAN JUST SIT AND READ. WHEN EVER U TREAT A TOPIC AT SCHOOL, ALWAYS TRY UR HANDS ON SOME OF SOME OF THE EXAMPLES OVER AND OVER UNTIL U THINK U R ALRIGHT. MOVE TO THE NEXT AND SO ON. THEN TRY TO SOLVE DIFFERENT PROBLEMS ON THE SAME TOPIC THIS TIME WITOUT GLANCING AT THE ANSWERS UNTIL U FINISH WORKING THEM.

Take it as a game....think as if toy are playing a game in which if you solv it you will go to next stage or you will have to play it again...Think formulaes as powers you are provided to face the huddles in solving....Every one can have weapon but how to use it comes from practice....The best part of this game is that there is no rule and you can make your own rule as you wish but the main thing is only to achieve the goal i.e. to solve the problem...so enjoy your game...have fun friend!!!

Develop a habit of solving at least 15-20 problems daily.
At first you will not be able to solve all problems, but stick to the habit.
Ask your teacher when in doubt.
slowly, your performance will lift.

First understand the concept behind the formulae/equation. Then attempt it yourself, ask for guidance if needed, and finally, practise many questions.
