No, money can enhance a persons life, in many ways. If utilised correctly, it can not only enhance their own life but assist in enhancing others.
However, if misused it can also ruin a person.
I was once told that we are merely tenents of this earth, and therefore must remember what is of utmost importance to us, but not to neglect the ones we love. x x

As stated above, in different words, perhaps, it's the love of money..not the money itself. It's the attitude of how important it is, that can mess a person up. Plenty of people have money, lots of it; and they use it wisely, some of them share it and help those who may need it, or who are less fortunate.
So maybe the phrase should actually be, "is the pursuit of the love of money the root of all evil?" If so, then yes!

No. The 9/11 hijackers weren't motivated by money, but what they did was evil.
The root of most evil is believing that you are worth more than anyone else. That can come out as believing you deserve or need more money, or that your beliefs are superior and worth killing for, or just that you can jump a queue in the supermarket with impunity. Selfishness and egocentricity ultimately impoverish both the sufferer and their neighbour.

Yes- money is the root to all evil. It causes nothing but worry and it doesn't matter how much you have..
The more you earn the more you want. Its what people become accustomed to. They live by what they earn and the more they spend the more they want.
Its fact. Money does not make you happy, it makes the world go round.

According to Timothy the answer is not to stray from the faith. That's capitalists a bit f#cked then!!!
If we then take it to another level and it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.....poor old Cliff Richard then. Seems a bit harsh after all he has done for God.

No. That is a line from some religious text. It is someones opinion, it is not empirical. It is what people say that live their lives based on the words set down in a book that was set down many centuries after someone actually uttered them. Or maybe they were never uttered at all and the person writing the text thought they would add that bit on.

Losing sight of your true values is the real 'root of all evils'.
The answer is to be content with living in the NOW, for it remains the only constant in life.
