no ..not at all.. thyroid is gland.. every soul in the universe has it..
the [problem lies in it function ...
it should function in a balanced way.. if it too high.. ur metabolism rate increases and u loose alot i mean alot of weight even if u eat like a pig
and if ur thyroid gland is too little.. ur metabolism rate slows down, u put on weight even if u don eat...
anyway it is not contagious but it can run down in the family if it is hereditary...

if you are talking about hypo or hyper thyroid............no it is a conditon where your thyroid malfuntions and does not make enough thyriod hormone or too much, it can be cause by diet too much or too little idodine but it is not contangeous

what do you mean? Everyone has a thyroid gland (unless it gets removed..). Thyroid disorders like hypo/hyperthyroid are not contagious.

If you mean thyreoid, no. It is a hormonal problem. If you refer to an infection of the thyreoid, I don't know.
