My little sister asked that when she wanted to know why there are so many angry and racist comments from those claiming to be Brits aimed toward us americans.
Now, I know that most of these questions come from a select few who probably just don't have anything better to do.
So, I wanted to hear from the serious British citizen:
Yes, our countries have butted heads, but, for the most part, we have been allies, always ready to rush to the other's aid.
We offered help against the IRA.
You came to our aid in 9-11 and the Katrina disasster.
(thank you, BTW)
I have great respect for Great Britan and most of her citizens.
What does the everyday, on the street, real Brit think about us?
Are the loud mouth jerks just the few hateful odd balls?
(We all have those, sorry to say.)
And to us Americans:
Do you believe that the Brits all hate us?
Or that it's just a few loud mouth....

Not that it should matter what others think about us.
But I do like to study how ppl think and feel and react to one another.
Call it cultural curiosity.

That's a good answer Perplex. An understandable one.
I don't think anyone can 100% like another.
Shucks, I don't like us 100%.
And everyone has their problems, us, by far, included.
But most ppl I believe are good and kind and don't intend to be mean.

I'm sorry Gameboy, I don't understand your answer.
I suppose it doesn't matter where in GB you're from.
I'm seeking independent thoughts and opinions so as to get a better view as to how relations are outside of the political and the bashers.
