It depends what you mean by destiny? It's hard to describe and means different things to different people.
I personally think i'm a believer in it, even though i'm not that sure. Because too many things have "almost" happened to me and weird situations in my life.
I somehow see that as fate or destiny that I am alive and I am going through whatever it is i'm going through at the time. Even the bad stuff that did ACTUALLY happen, and not "almost" happen.. somehow worked out for the best I think.
However, I think destiny is like destination, that is, not the journey but the end result. So I think we probably have starting points, key life events and an ending point that is determined but we can change things in the middle, and sometimes things get in the way. Early death for example.. lost souls.. ghosts. I believe that we all have souls and one day end up perfect.
If we die early or even at the end of a natural, unfulfilled life we'll be reincarnated over and over until we learn certain lessons and become better people. The people we are supposed to be.
And I think we are all headed in the same direction, just taking different routes to get there. Affecting eachother and stuff. Kind of like a big intertwined story.
Things like chance meetings especially, those weird me out. There are too many weird coincidences in life. I don't believe in god or have a religion by the way if you're wondering where all that crap came from lol.

Like voodoo, destiny only works if you believe in it. The eye will see what the eye wants to see, and if you are looking for the hand of Fate or Destiny or whatever, you will find it. I do not believe anything is meant to happen in the sense that there is a God who likess Accounting and playing yo-yo Who will make sure that this one person should die in a car accident while this one should fall in love with a total stranger or whatever. Destiny is the easy way out for people who do not feel they are strong enough to make choices or stand by the choices they have made. We have a choice, always. It may not be the choice you wanted but it is there to be made.

It doesn't really matter if you believe in it or not. If it exists, then it's your destiny to believe whatever it is you believe.
Anyway, every choice you make is dependant on your state of mind, which is dependant on everything that's happened to you. All those things are dependant on things that happened before that, etc. etc. So, nobody really has free will. It's an illusion.

Yes.
It is upto you to believe or not to believe in destiny/fate. Look around you wth attention & try to make sense out of the good/bad things happening to you & you will find them a result of your certain actions/inactions.

Your destiny is limited to the choices you make. It's not pre-determined. It's random.

I don't as I think we are given the power to make the most of the sitiation when it arises as well as oppertunities that are presented to us. I don't believe that everything has a devine signature to it, lot's of it are what we have done(cause n effect)

yes.. but i call it fate.. you should believe in what ever you choose.. why would i want to push an issue on to you? that would be like bible thumpers telling you that you are going to burn in hell if you dont believe in jesus.. (i tell them i dont believe in hell so how can i burn in it??) but anyways... the real question is what do you feel destined to do?? you must feel something that sways you to one side more than the other..
