My ex husband is preventing me from communicating with my children while I am deployed overseas. He won't even allow my parents or sisters and brothers to check on the children's well being. What can I do??

He is making an attempt even if its not what is considered acceptable by yourself or the other side of the family. It is hard to be at everything living so far away. Who decided to move away was it him or the mom? The fact that he pays child support and does see them shows he loves them and is making an effort which is more than can be said of some deadbeats. I would encourage phone calls during the week or allow the children to come up with ideas such as emails or even skype. Do not take the children from their father, it will hurt all parties involved, and they could grow up resenting being kept from their father. He may not be able to be a full time father due to distance, but he is trying.

get ahold of the police department where he lives and explain that you are concerned for the well being of the kids. see if they will go check on them. then get a lawyer and fight for your rights as a parent. He has no right to keep them to himself./
