The reason I'm not sure is that I can only afford 1 ticket so unless he knows someone else with a season ticket, or can get someone to buy a ticket each time to go with him he'd either not be able to go or be on his own.

A waste of money. If he was a true scouser, he would have already pinched one by now.

You won't see him every Saturday so if you're ok about that then go for it. Though I have heard that there's a long waiting list for a season ticket. This season may be a bit soon. Maybe a Liverpool membership or something. The eTicket's a great idea too.

Another option would be to get him another season ticket for possibly a lower-league club (for example, if you do live in the north west, Tranmere Rovers or perhaps newly-promoted Accrington Stanley). Check what deals the clubs offer on reduced-price recalculated half-season tickets. They may calculate how much each game costs if you buy a season ticket at the beginning of the season and then multiply a figure close to that by how many home games are left in the season.

I think you've probably got Buckley's for the Liverpool season ticket but put him on the waiting list, get him the eTicket for http://www.liverpoolfc.tv and the club membership. Also try to gauge whether he'd be interested in going to see Stanley and buy him the half-season ticket as a surprise if you think he would be.

As for being on his own, if he's a true Liverpool fan he won't mind that at all. In certain grounds not only do football fans go alone but sometimes find themselves in the vicinity of some of the most vile, odious (and sometimes racist) people one could ever hope to meet, but we keep going for the love of the game and/or the club. But most likely if he goes on his own he'll become friends with people near him. A season-ticket holder becomes a familar face and it's an environment where you've got at least one thing in common with every stranger around you.

I trust that he's a Liverpool fan :-) The season ticket will be the treasured gift! No worries about the single ticket - he'll somehow find friends with common interests and will have lots of companies there at the game.

is he on the waiting list for a season ticket if not he will have to wait about 10 years for one i have been on the waiting list for one season ticket for 4 years and the list gets longer each year. other wise it would be a great gift or you vcould just get him a ticket for one game in the season P.S. season tickets cost about £500 each

Yes.Unless of course he's an Everton supporter then it would be a disaster! Make sure the season ticket is for next season though!

Not sure if they do but could check with the club if they do part season tickets as you will have about 4 or 5 months left after christmas.

A season ticket is expensive, and the season's started. If you can afford it and can get hold of one, get the Christmas gift for him now and give it to him now!

He'll love you for it, that's for sure!

No rubbish idea, Bet he'd love a season ticekt to Fratton park.

Only kidding, It is a great idea but dont leave it till christmas, half way through the season would be a waste of your money. Sure your boyriend would not mind though.

If your boyfriend is a die hard soccer fan i dont think he would care if he went on his own cause he would find other Liverpool fans at the game. also if you do buy him the ticket he would love you forever
