No, colors have a certain feeling/meaning associated with them and that's why they share the same color scheme.
Red is associated with intensity, strength and good fortune.
Blue is associated with relaxation and tranquility. Darker shades convey authority, loyalty and perseverance.

Optimus Prime can fly and Superman excels in his super strength. They are two very patriotic heroes in my book!
