Don't worry, I agree with you!

Their music is great from album to album.
Muse somehow improve everytime they release something new.

If I was to choose a favourite album, I couldn't because all their music is FANTASTIC.
And not only is their music great, but they seem like really nice people aswell.
ALSO, I feel that although Muse is a global rock band, they're not "mainstream" such as Panic! At The Disco.
Muse have a lot of fans, yet it's not all over-obsessive to the point where you begin to dislike the band because everyone else "loves" them.

You have good taste, my friend!

What's your favourite song? Mine's 'Falling Away With You'. :D

I would like to see a new band step up as the "world's rock band," but personally, I'm not sure Muse is it. Not to be judgemental, but I'm not sure that the world music scene is Muse's niche. They are a great band, no doubt about that, but I don't believe that they can grasp U2's status at this point in time. A popular U2-successor was Coldplay, and even they didn't reach that worldy stardom. Its a tough role to fill. The musical quality has to be just so...universal. So far, I've only seen The Beatles and U2 reach that sort of fame. So to say that Muse is the next biggest band is somewhat premature. I'd give it another few albums or years to see the results.

Muse are so much better than U2 ever where. In my opinion U2 are one of the most overrated bands ever and the stuff they make now is so bland it's just not true. Muse however are brilliant although you couldn't describe them as 'The global rock band'

Come to think of it is fairly daft describing any band as that since there are lots of good rock bands and everyone has different taste.

Muse aren't even close. U2 have built their status over a number of years & are absolutely HUGE. They have made a huge mark in history with their music, their ability to move with the times & reinvent themselves, etc etc. If you ask anyone who U2 are they would more then likely know who they are. However, as for Muse You would not get the same reaction. Most people still have no idea who they are, I know I have only just recently heard of them & I don’t think their music even compares to U2.

When, in 25 years time, you are posting about Muse still being a great rock band and still churning out fantastic CD's then I might agree. until then, I think they still have a long way to go before they even come within sight of the might of U2.

In my opinion u2 have gone seriously downhill, the best album was the joshua tree, fantastic. They have just sold out to cheap pop drivel lately.
As for muse yeah pretty talented, they are definately on the way up passing u2 on their way down.

no way. they are no rolling stones. for a band who have an average age of 65 and have been there and done it all, twice and still sell out world tours in every country they play in i think u2 have a long long way to go. there wouldnt be a u2 if the stones hadn't formed. or any of the modern bands really.

No U2 have worked hard for decades!they are no where near ready to hand over their claim to the best rock band ever, think about your questions before you ask them, you've just wasted 5 points!lol

Muse ARE good but they don't yet have the credentials. You get that after many years of paying your dues, like the Stones or Fleetwood Mac.
One day they will get there if they can stand the trials of time like us other old geezers.
PS:- One day you will be one, too!
