i'm a strong jazz vocalist and I have an audition coming up.
any suggestions on really good jazz songs I could sing
that would "WOW" the crowd???

Cavatina, or It Never Entered My Mind are a couple of my favorites for vocal jazz. An impressive jazz standard is one that is sung well. Not well by American Idol diva standards, but *actually* well - artfully, skillfully and musically. Pick one that is personally meaningful and resonant to you. Avoid things that are hackneyed obvious picks. If this is an audition you'll be wowing a vocal jury composed of musicians - not a mindless, tasteless crowd.

If you're as good as you say you are, I think you should sing Over the Rainbow a Capella. If you sing it well, you will definitely WOW them.

If you need inspiration, try listening to Jane Monheit's version.
