Good Question..X-rays work because film/plate has a shielding..so you see thru that object only. Sorry , i know its a bummer...but no thong sneak peaks....only see bones..mass.

No, you would see what an x-ray picture looks like. So you wouldn't see people naked under clothes, you would just see their skeleton and that lego thay ate when they were little and never poo'd out.
Your field of vision would end at the nearest solid object, and incidentally, you wouldn't be able to look through windows because the glass would appear as a solid.

Not if you had the same X-ray vision as Superman and could finely tune the distance you can see through things for. Then you could just look through one wall etc.

The term refers to one single item - so, no matter what the substance is you would see through it to whatever lies beyond, but not what is beyond that. Perhaps you could pump up the power outage and see through a couple of layers, but just how far that you could go would be dependant on the amount of power available (which would have a limit - therefor, so would the distance that you could see.

X-ray radiation would not penetrate any sufficiently dense/thick medium. Lead would be a classic occasion, yet some meter-thick shield of previous newspapers would to the activity too. as quickly as the medium resists the radiation, it is going to become seen.

depends on the strength of your vision and how dense the object you trying to see thru. ie a wall is better than metal...
