limewire causes no harm until u use them only for music...but for other things risk is too much...and even when u download song look at its size...it must some MBs...sometimes virus files are renamed as song files so that they are listed in our searches and we download them...also scan files as u download them..

It's not harmful as long as you scan the files you are downloading, and never venture to download any executible files and I have foudn most of them corrupted so are the zip files, I have been using Limewire for sometime now and causes no issues with Windows Firewall or any Anti-Virus S/W's installed

I've never used limewire, but another site you might want to try is BearShare. I've used it for months with no problems, and it's just a quick download. Try it if you aren't sure about limewire.

Never hurt my computer. Anyway, use Frostwire. Basically the paid version of Limewire, only free and with a different name.

I use limewire, I have spyware and antivirus on my pc & laptop, so any nasties are dealt with by these. Limewire is a great site.

if you scared to use a program
maybe you should not use it
thus limewire warns you if there is a harmful virus for music, but not software
just be careful.

Limewires software is not in itself harmful, but P2P application like this effectively give people access to your PC, and you are downloading unverified files that could be chock full of nasty stuff!

ive had limewire 4 ages with no problem as long as u scan the files 4 viruses before opening them u will be fine.

Limewire is great.. just make sure you scan EVERYTHING you download from it with anti-virus.. and you should have no problems at all... enjoy...
