Check with your local United Way Agencies to determine if there are any organizations out there for people in your position. You may be eligible for job counseling, training or a host of other government sponsored benefits to get you back on track. It won't hurt to ask!

Generally, you'll want to try to avoid any jobs that require state licensing.
One thing you want to do is provide the information upfront. Tell the recruiter/whoever you have a conviction on your record but you're trying to make a new start. You know you've made mistakes and you hope you won't be penalised the rest of your life for mistakes made in the past.
If you can be upfront about it, you never have to worry about it coming back to haunt you in the future. Use it as a selling point, if you can. "I went from being a convicted felon, to doing XYZ"
One way you could reach out would be to do volunteer work in your area. There are hundreds of opportunities in your area to find this kind of work. If people see you are a hard worker, and are willing to work, they'll notice it, and will be more likely to ignore the felony conviction.
It's a tough hurdle, but it can be overcome. Just look at this story:

Good luck

My friend Since you already have a computer I would try this! I have been working for SFI for the last 2 months and have found that this site is safe and legit, I hated the scams that the Internet had to offer, I would tell you to also look into SFI for the possibilities of the check amount are endless, You get free resources on hand and there is hidden cost or charges toward you, in your resources you will find Free Flyer templates, E-cards, Websites that are already done for you, and your own on line store and you get to work your own hours! All this for free! who could ask for more? I use to be the type to say "If it sounds to good to be true, Then it is to good to be true!." This I have a wayward feeling on now that I have seen what SFI has done for me!, I wish you the best in your search for the right business opportunity but If I were you I would look into this one! Opportunity Knocks, Are you going to answer this door? If you need any further help or have any questions about SFI I would be more than glad to assist you, I have also constructed a short SFI starter presentation that I could email you if you like, Just contact me At SFI_Landeros@yahoo.com and I can assist you further, Again Good Luck and I hope for your success! http://www.moreinfo247.com/9278838/free
