Anything is possible but in this case, the chances of her getting pregnant if she started her period a day after intercourse is very low! (If it's her TIME to have a period then no, she won't get pregnant) But if it has been 10 to 14 days BEFORE or AFTER the intercourse accured then the chances are very high that she can get pregnant because this duration of days is in 9 out of 10 women, it's very common that the "ovulation" is 10 to 14 days Before and/or after her period! These days are her FERTILE days but if she just started her "normal" expected period a day after intercourse then, it's unlikely!
However, she may or may not "bleed" or "spot" after intercourse and this "bleeding" wouldn't be her period, it would be "implantation" (the fertalized egg planting it's self into the uterus) causes light pinkish/brown discharge and it's ok unless accompanied by cramping, backache or increased bleeding, a small amount of blood being discharged should be considered as implantation bleeding which is nothing to be concerned about.

you can concieve before, during or after menistation. So if you dont want a baby use protection or to permenantly take care of the problem do the surgery. It may seem scarey but paying for a child you didnt want with a girl you dont want for 18years is much harder on the balls then the few days it takes to heal from the surgery.

Yes its possible, there arn't enough hormones that soon to stop a period but the egg can still be fertilized, very unlikely though.
