Ferrari or a Golf Course, maybe a high rise flat.
or in reality a chain or bracelet or something like that.

Well by Christmas, you'll have been together for 9 months -- which is considerably longer than 6 months in the big, bad dating world. =) Really though, I've been with my boyfriend for a little more than 9 months now. At Christmas we'll have been together just over a year. But I still think my suggestions might work for you.
I'm 24, and my boyfriend is 28. For Christmas, I'm planning to get him a nice Prague watch. He loves watches but hasn't been able to afford them right now. We've both been having some financial difficulties. So then, you might wonder how I could afford such a thing.
Overstock.com!! On there, I can buy a nice watch from clearance. The original retail of Prague watches can be $200-$350. But the marked down price is only about $60-$70. I bought myself a $375 watch for $75 last year.
So anyway, that is my idea for Christmas. I'll probably also make a little scrap book and stick all of our little love letters in it for him. I do like to get a person something "nice" if I can. But I also LOVE a gift with a personal touch. Nothing can replace that...
My boyfriend's bday is also in January. I haven't decided yet what to get him for that. It might be something practical like a good pair of sneakers. Or it might be something sexy like a set of handcuffs and new lingerie for me. Not sure yet...
For Valentine's day, I don't generally go too overboard on gifts for that. I think it's alright if the guy does, but I don't buy people fancy things for Valentine's day. Instead, I'll just get him a card and a heart full of chocolate. Maybe I'll get make him a nice home-cooked meal too. My gifts for Valentine's day are all about the sentiment...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
P.S. It would be good if you told us your age too! Appropriate gifts do sometimes vary by age...

A bf of less than a year, .......well a feeding bottle is all he can care of hahaha
seriously!! i would like to have from my girl a sweet little thing which I can always keep with me, can use it and which remind me of her every monent. this could be a nice wallet, a designer pen or wristwatch, an organizer or something. Forget anything wearable whether apparels or perfume or jewellery, tell you, we always think that we have a better choice than girls.

Maybe a watch but he more than llikely had one. No billfolds as men are particular about types. A pinky ring would be nice. If he drinks get him his favorite "brew"

If he likes sports go for his team. I know I like that. Other than that you can get him some electronics, or a new toy for him. If he likes video games that is always an option.

Books are always the best. Buy him something that he would love topic wise and buy him something you love too. then you can share your ideas.
