What a question!!

As a Toon supporter the answer has to be yes of course they are a good football team.

In reality, they are starting to recover from the disaster that was Souness as manager, though they have a long way to go until they reach the dizzy heights they reached under Keegan.

Our defence needs a total revamp and they surely must be on the lookout for new defenders to sign in the January transfer window. The midfield is not too bad, though I would say that Roeder needs to look at his formation in order to get the best from the players available. Our strike-force? The boots of Alan Shearer are a huge role to fill. The injury of Michael Owen was a bitter pill to swallow and the jury is going to be out for a while on Obefemi Martins if his performances so far are anything to go on. Shola has played ok but I still feel we need a recognised target man.

So yes with my rose-tinted glasses on, Newcastle are a good football team, with improvements to personnel, we will be a great football team!!

No they are not. When was the last time they won anything.The problem is that they think they have a divine right to be a good team. They have not had a decent manager for ages and some of the players they have signed have been suspect. They have spent a lot of money over the years but still got nowhere. I feel sorry for the fans as they love their team so much. No matter who they buy they always look suspect at the back. It will be a long time before they are a force in English football-if ever.

I am of the opinion that they are not good at all, if they were then they would have won something in the last 50 years, they should be a good club how ever as their fans are extremely football crazy who else would stand in the Newcastle stadium with no shirt on during December and January, but the have expectations above themselves, they have also been let down by past managers who only buy attacking players and allow the defence to rot.

In my opinion outside the top four Newcastle are fifth.

What you on about superdeano, he asked a question, I gave my opinion. I know he probably supports Newcastle and putting that question up is asking for some piss taking, but some people have nothing against Newcastle like me for instance. Now if the question would have been related to Man Ure then it would have been a different kettle of fish.

Being a tottenham fan i am ashamed to say that i think you are a good team, perhaps not very consistent (i cant talk) but you attract some of the best players in the world. With the right manager and a bit of money, you could really push the top teams. I have been to St James' and it is a fantastic stadium and the fans are just brilliant, would definately recommend it to other travelling supporters.

They were a good team before but after Graeme Souness entered they started dying. Now under Roeder they are showing signs of improvement and have become an average team. If Owen recovers from injury and is back in good form they may become a good team.

well they are a good team but they need more midfielders and Owen to help Obafemi and Shola; Ozogbia is a good player but only Parker does well in the Midfield; Emre is not to good for Premiership cos he needs space to operate and they will not give him the space so they need a tight player that can think very fast; again they have got dedicated back men and parker is in form but the coach too should change his style (ball on the ground will be better) o soory they got gud Keepers; i believe with those players hitting the form with butt they can be better than average;

They're ok. Getting Graeme Souness as manager was a joke. He bought rubbish players and brought them backward. Glenn Roeder is now the manager and I still don't think that that's a wise choice neither. He wrongly made Scott Parker captain. He should've made Shay Given captain.
