It's going to be tough, as the Cardinals - for all of their slide and getting swept by the Astros - finish out at home.
Put it this way: if the Astros run the table, they'll finish 84-78.
The Cards are now 80-74. So if the Astros win out, the Cards would just have to go 4-4 to tie them, or 5-3 to hold on to the division..
I don't think the Astros will pass the Phils (and the LA/SD loser) for the Wild Card. The Phils are 82-73, and should win at least 3 of their last 7, which hopefully will include a win over the 'Stros today!

If they keep playing strong and the Cards blow up then they have a shot. They have a much better chance of winning their division than catching either Phili, LA, or San Diego for wild card. I'd pray for the Cardinals to keep up this losing streak, it's the Astro's only hope.

The Astros have a good chance of making the playoffs..............next year. I think even if they win out they don't make it.

They are on a hot streak right now but the chances of them making it to the playoffs are slim. I don't see them making it this year.
