Studying law is a great idea, even if you don't practice law in the end. You will be much more aware of your everyday rights to a higher level than many people. The job prospects seem to be a lot better with a law degree because employers realise the degree of difficulty involved in studying this subject.
The most recognised law degrees are from Cambridge uni but LSE is very good and also Bristol Uni
It is a fascinating subject that is continually evolving. It is also very hard work an needs a massive amount of additional reading and research so be prepared for some long hours with your nose in a book or on the computer.
I know, I have just graduated with my LLB.
Good luck

I'm a law student, and I don't know if it is a mistake or not. I know that there is nothing else I can picture myself doing with my life aside from that. I do enjoy reading about science, psychology, sociology, history, religion, etc., but I don't have a strong enough conviction to persue a Ph.D in any field to become a professor. I'd like to some day be able to do some study to advance humanity, but right now I'm not that strongly convinced. My options without law school are almost none, so it pretty much is doing law school or nothing with my life. Nevertheless, I do enjoy knowing about law and I do enjoy the critical thinking skills. In the end, all knowledge we gain there is something to be taken from it. Trust me, I studied Sociology and Psychology as an undergrad, and I have been able to apply some of it to my life.

If you like learning about law and you want to become something legally (lawyers for example), and you neither have committed a crime yet nor you are going to commit one, then I will say: Go ahead and study law.
Unfortunately, I do not know any law schools. According to famous TV series or films Boston (Ally McBeal) and Harvard (Legally blonde) are said to be good colleges for law students.

I've studied Law in the UK, I don't know which country you are in. I enjoyed it, very challenging and in some areas very interesting. I've completed the LPC too and I am working in a firm while they decide if they want to offer me a training contract.
If you enjoy it and you've got the motivation to succeed only then do it.

there's a glut of attorneys in this usa. Many graduates can not discover jobs. many of the available jobs pay so little that they can't pay their student loans. regulation isn't a sturdy profession decision. you're able to pass to college and get a 4 twelve months degree from an authorized college. Then, you pass to regulation college for 3 extra years. the learning is large. Your student loans would be crushing and you will probable be unemployed. sturdy success with that.

Are you up to memorizing every law and the related Latinisms as well as the nuances and minutiae of jurisprudence and obiter dicta? If you answer Yes, with all sincerity, then go for it.
Otherwise... here's the deck of cards, pick another one.

Yes of course it is. There will always be a need for lawyers and barristers. You just have to satisfy yourself that it is what you really want to do,because like any job it can be bloody boring.
My daughter is currently at Oxford which is pretty good.
