Then you can have your husband follow the same procedures, with you directing his actions. You should let him watch you do it to yourself first, to show him that it isn't painful.

As your question itself suggest that you have a fear , you change your mindset, think of pleasure. Do the act slowly, till you feel comfortable. As far as possible avoid the artificial lubricants etc.
