Do you feel that questioners often have an answer to their question in mind and they're seeking someone to agree with them ,not really having an open mind about the answers provided?

we all need reassurance, and for some people this is a Way of getting it. some may have the answer some not. if they lack confidence in them selves and cannot get any feed back else where this for them is an ideal way of getting some responses.

Yes, of course. When people go to the docs, go to their friends for queries, problems....are they not seeking validation...someone on 'their' side? Some are seeking advice and unbiased opinions, personal experiences, ummm...some are seeking pro's and con's and some are seeking a majority rules type conclusion to their question. Validation is helpful of course!

People ask questions on this site knowing full well what the answer is but just wanting other peoples opinions on the subject. Although, there are others who would like to impress their views on a subject and have tunnel vision when it comes to the answers/advice others give. Shame really.

Yes...
Especially some of the religious ones and some of the political ones.
Others are simply written with the intention of annoying or angering people.

Yup - but that's kinda fair enough. As long as their mind is at least SLIGHTY open to suggestion - especially when every else has an opposing view.

But then again, the little kids on here who are asking the questions, because its easier to ask here, than to ask there peers. Kind of like reading the crap on crap house walls, and then experimenting

Especially questions that cause potential controversy. Religion and politics and the like.
