Silence of the Lambs or Dawn of the Dead?

Without a lot of blood and extreme killing..
silence of the lambs is way way above Dawn of the Dead. Matter of fact.. Silence of the lambs is among the Best Horror movies.
Remember when the movie was out.. all the posters of Silence of the lambs were ripped off therefore they can search for answers.. And Jodie Foster is So real being a rookie cop. What about Sir Anthony.. he send you shivers just by looking at you.. Now that's Horror at the Very Best !

Horror-wise, Dawn of the Dead. But just comparing them as movies, Silence of the Lambs wins, no contest. Silence isn't really a "horror" movie, it's a thriller.
Wanna know something funny? George A. Romero, who wrote Dawn of the Dead, had a cameo in Silence of the Lambs. He's the bearded man who accompanies Chilton and the two guards who forcibly remove Clarice Starling after her final meeting with Lecter.

I have to agree with others above, it is a hard comparison to make since they really don't belong in the same genre. But if I had to pick, I would pick Silence of the Lambs, because it was really good. Dawn of the Dead was amusing but not really my kind of thing.

Silence of the Lambs. It had such a good plot & it kept you guessing. Dawn of the Dead was just a bunch of zombies running around trying to get everyone. It was gore for the sake of gore. Sure it was freaky & funny in parts but I just found that movie sick & pointless.

i'm assuming you mean the original dawn of the dead.
both of them have humor in them and dawn of the dead was basically a well-hidden satire on american consumerism. silence of the lambs was more of a suspense thriller and had much better acting. I'll say Dawn though because I love it to pieces.
