My ex whom we broke up one year plus ago now calls me up. I don't mind being friends but we have nothing much in common. I'm afraid I'll be leading him on that he might think we still had a chance together. Would he? Is it ok to be friends or it is better to not get too close until i understands what he wants from me? I'm not sure if he jsut wants to be friends or if he still has feelings for me. Is there anyway to know w/o having to ask him that? I don't want to make it awkward btw us.

If you don't want to ask him (the right answer) then set up a test. Meet him and see how he reacts. Don't tease, flirt, or lead him on. If he makes a move or tries anything, he's not over you!

It really depends on individual. As far as I am concerned, there is no harm provided both of you can accept the fact you are just normal friends and not couples. I believe you should know your ex bf better than any of us here and he start to do things as if you are his gf, then i think you must make it clear to him and not keep quiet.

Cut off all connections from him totally! He obviously wants to patch things up but you've moved on with your life. Staying in touch with him will only lead him to draw the wrong conclusion.
