what do you think the purpose is of the 500 or so concentration camps the govermenent has built in the US?

They are currently heavily guarded and believed to be empty.

I first heard of these just before y2k from a group I was involved in; about half of the participants were of gifted IQ'sand they were always discussing interesting things..

they also passed around copies of military exercises with things on it like what the troops were supposed to reply when someone said things like "wait, I have rights. I am an American citizen" etc.

EDIT to curious ma--these camps were built in late 1980's so I don't think they are for moslems

EDIT to Shayne U...people have seen and photographed these..they have also been discussed in congress.

EDIT to all: also I forgot to add, when I attended the group where I first heard of them in 1999, in addition to Rex 84 and the military exercises, they were also talking about government contracts where railroad cars had been ordered containing shackle stations within them (144 shackles per car)..also the large buildings on the premises of these camps are said to be to deliver gas to the train cars..the track go right under them with a place to pull train car through. Most of these camps are in the middle of nowhere and most have train trucks leading up to them

black vans have also been associated with this and fema and there are said too be two lists (one blue and one red)..if you are on one they kill you right away and if you are on the other, they wait several weeks before killing you...some FBI or CIA guy was shocked to see his name on one of the lists.

I would not be surprised if Katrina was not a practice run for whatever is to come--the way they wouldn't let anyone out or aid in..

I had Cambodian refugee neighbors for 20 years who lost 5 family members to the Khmer Rouge and what they did in Cambodia was told the people in all the big cities, "the Americans are going to bomb the city" and did forced evacuations, when they got to where they told them to go (and people were giving birth on the side of the roads and pushing hospital beds with people with IVs etc and people (and pets)being shot if they didn't leave. when they got to where they were told to go, they killed all the educated people like doctors and government workers and put the rest in forced labor camps where eventually nearly 4 million Cambodians died.
With all the talk of terrorism, all they would have to do is say they had advance warning of a biological, nuclear, or chemical attack coming..no time to leave, roads are shut down, hop on the bus or van and we

will take you to safety. People would not think twice as we have been conditioned to terrorism. They could drive us into those camps & then what..no one could save us as we showed in Iraq our immense power & willingness to bomb if we want. The whole world is scared and if wouldn't be like in Germany or Cambodia when the crimes against humanity would be seen and stopped by someone more powerful.
Would you go? I think being shot on site after the buses left might be preferred than the fear of that journey to the camps & death or torture. Maybe it could come from bird flu which surfaced immediately after Katrina. If they said there was an outbreak in a certain city in the US, would not let anyone in or out because of supposed "contamination and contagiousness" they could take the residents to the camps & gas them and when people said where is my aunt Sally from the town, they could say, the flu spread and many died & we had to bury them all in mass graves to stop the spread of flu

I've heard about these in America and in Canada -

Obviously they intend to house a hell of a lot of people.

Who why and when would they expect to house these people I have no idea at all - I am thinking it's us the public though and I am trying to figure out what they eepect we will do that would make them want to jail so many so fast ?

This seems like an evil version of Disney's buid it and they will come model doesn;t it?

Now maybe we are going about it all wrong - maybe they aren't prisons as such A big nuclear war where would they put the radiation contaminated population that was unlucky enough to live?

I personally think they are for us and it does seem that perhaps Katrina was a practice run for what is coming. In congress everything has been passed to put martial law in order. I bet few people would question it if they said we had to evacuate and follow there orders to save ourselves.

I appreciate your edits and telling us about Cambodia. History does seem to repeat itself and sometimes, it seems playbooks are taken from history but they correct the errors made the first time to assure success this time around.

I suggest those who have not read the original poster's edits after the question do so.

I'm hoping this is where all politicians are headed and hopefully before the next elections so no one can buy their way into office like the last two elections.
If they are currently empty then why all the guards anyway? I guess the government thinks we really are as stupid as they are.
You don't guard something that isn't in use no matter what it is or where it is, right!
Let's all ask Bush this question so he can hand us all another load of his lies as he's got so many more to tell us and I bet he's waiting for someone to ask about this.
Now, when can we start filling these camps with all of our dishonest politicians anyway?

Never heard of such a camp, but the first things that come to my mind is that it would be for the Arabs that are inundating our country. Since we are at war perhaps there is a plan to place them in a camp?

Maybe they are facilities to house the sick in case of a birdflu epidemic.

Well I've heard it was only rumored or so.. But if this is actualy true then that is something to fear.. Supposedly the goverment is going to inforce new laws on us (martial laws) and if we do not obay then we are sent to the camps, wow.. Kind of reminds me of the movie "Escape from L.A"...
