Depends on what you consider to be "in English"...words like "antidisestablishmentarianism" aren't really in common usage, and they're mostly made of up neo-Latin and neo-Greek affixes. Also, there are scientific terms that are even longer that those, but they're mainly known by their abbreviations. In a study down in 1964, the longest of the most frequent 1,000 words in telephone conversation was "administration."
