You would need to go to the Register office in the locality where you intend to marry, and give Notice of Intention to marry. You must do this at least 3 weeks before the date of the marriage. If you and the woman live in separate areas, she must also go to her local register office and do the same. I believe there is a fee payable for this but don't know what it is these days. The registrar will then let you know what dates and times he has available for your marriage to take place. You will both need to provide your birth certificates and/or court sealed copies of your decree absolutes if you are either or both divorced, to show that you are legally able to marry. On the actual day you will need two witnesses.

Look up the website for the county in which you wish to marry for example Essex County Council, and you will see a link called "Getting married in Essex" (or Suffolk, or Norfolk, wherever). You should from there be able to find phone numbers etc and the staff will be able to advise you further.

As what other members have told you already. You will need to phone and make an appiontment at you local registry office. Then you will need to apply for a licence. Not sure how much they are now day's. Then they will take you though all you option. Like were do you plan on geeting married. You can get married anywere and were anything now day's. You do not have to be married at the registry office anymore. Hope this has been of some help. Hope you have better luck in marriage then i have.

Call your local office they will tell you every thing you need to know.
You will need to take your fiance, yours and hers passports or birth cert. and £60, answer a few qustions and look forward to the big day.
The ceremony we had 2 weeks ago was realy good and it can be as formal or informal as you the couple want it to be.

go and meet the person at the enquire desk and they will tell you all you need about how to go about regestering your marrage here.need to fill the form's and the rest will be told and the fee's too .
