that is a very good question that i don't know the answer to.
i am not an anti-semit, however that does not mean that i support israel whatever it's doing and i find it unfair that when i disagree to an israeli action i am replied to not logically (with arguments for that action) but with 'you're anti-semite'.
the us has made it its general policy to support israel whether it's defending its territories or slaughtering arabs. i find that troubling. but i don't have an explanation for it.

1) The US and Isreal have a strong friendship.
They tend to suport us and help us when
we need it and vice versa.
2) The US and Isreal have different traeties
and pacts with each others.Both Economically
and Miltarly.
3) Israel was until recently the only democratic
nation in the middle East>Since the US believe
in free election and fair election , Goverment
run by the ctizain( repersentive goverment ,and various freedom we feel the need to support isreal
4) The US for the most part is a Christain nation.A vast majority are Christian . Most christian
have a strong feeling toward Isreal and support
them on biblical basis
5) Isreal is seen by many US people as the victom.Isreal is almost always being attacked by their arab neighbor.Whether the are at fault
or not is a issue that can and will be debated for along time.However Arab leaders making
steament about wiping Isreal off the map
doesnt help the Arab cause and tends to make people lean toward Isreal.Neither does suicide bomber who make the Arab countries seem
abit fantiacl.
7) Isreal has one of the most well trained and
powerful in the world and can hold its own
if needed
Note that this is not to say Im for or against Isreal but just reason why the US tend to Support Iseal as a country

It's not! But the Americans in aggregate are supportive of having a Jewish state, and tend to give it more leeway than other countries because of history and religion... Also because Israel to many Americans is what you would call the ultimate underdog... and militarily it can wage war on 3 sides at once with superior firepower and tactics (though Hezbollah showed they may be slipping in that respect)... memory of the Holocaust, strength of fundamentalist Christians in politics, Jewish lobbying for and investment in Israel all make for reasons to support Israel more than we should.

If we don't, Israel goes bye bye.
The only reason that the entire middle east has not descended on Israel like locusts is because of the threat that we may intervene and the nuclear weapons that Israel possesses because of the US.
Without our support, the Israelis would be under a constant barrage of missiles and Muslims (even more than they are now.)

Israel has the strongest lobby in the US Congress. The Israeli premier is the most frequent foreign leader who visits the White House. The US government gives superior support to Israel because of the highly motivated and effective Israeli lobby.

Better to be on God's side defending His chosen people rather than be against His people. Read the books of Joshua, Kings, Samuel and Chronicles of the Old Testament and see for yourself.

Because many very powerful Jews live in America and feel kinship with Israel and could do the American government a lot of harm if the US didn't support Israel.

The bible talks about Ephram being adopted by Jacob. Jacob is one of the fathers of Israel. The USA is a modern day Ephram. We are adopted by Israel, God's chosen people and country. That is why we really support Israel. Wouldn't you if you were adopted by a father who loved you even though you weren,t his son?
