we will never know what hitler was thinking. the only way to know that is to go back in time and talk to him. apparently he had a background of being disappointed by jews (his father died while being taken care of by a jewish doctor, his commander in the first world war was jewish and apparently a traitor), disappointment that turned to hate.

sometimes some things are not hidden. sometimes some things just disappear. for example, the person who has been through the experience is remembering it in a personalized way and after years and years their memory might alter the truth. after a while these truths get more and more altered.

there is also a way to direct the way the truth is being altered. for example, the communists did their best to convince the people that the regimes they replaced were absolute hell: in order to do that they altered history: nicholas 2nd of russia became a mass murderer, the royalty of romania was completely ignored in history books, capitalist rulers were criticized for being 'imperialists'.

back to your question: today the us government supports israel. it is in their best interest to agree with israel's version of the holocaust, whether it's true or not. i am not supporting a major conspiracy or anything, but sometimes the truth is sligthly altered to serve the current ruler's interests.

Of course the holocaust happened the way it was reported. There are too many witnesses for it to have been a fabrication. It was a monstrous idea of Hitler's, and if his aides had had any guts they would have stood against him and had it stopped. But that is the poblem with giving one man so much power, they can do evil with it, and we can see that happening in the world today. I prefer the British way of government where the prime minister doen't have all the power, and there is also a figurehead (The Queen) who can bring her power to bear (if necessary) to stop madness. Not that she does, often!. The people who want us to believe that the holocaust did not happen are either people who can't face the monstrousness of the events, (and it is a very vile thing to have to accept, though true), or people who want to discredit the Jews yet again. (and there are still some of those around!) Many, many people were killed during the second world war, millions of Jews, millions of Russian soldiers and very many hundreds of thousands of soldiers from all around the allied world, including, though not mainly, from the USA. Belief is the most difficult thing to eradicate from a person or culture. So when you believe something bad (or good!) about another group, ask yourself why you believe that. Chances are, you were told that at an early age. I am a person who is discriminated against and I know that most of what is said about us is rubbish. The people who do it feel bad about themselves and look around for someone to blame and it's easier in Australia to blame my people than anyone else because they envy us. We can see that but they are blinded to it. Sad but true.

Well Hitler had to brainwash entire Germany to believe attacking Poland and other nations only could wash away the humiliation faced by Germany in WWI. He blamed the Jews for the loss faced by Germany in the first world war. Even though Hitler was half Jew himself, his mother was a Jew, he had bitter feelings toward them as he had had a pain full childhood. The Holocaust did happen the way it was reported. It is being hidden by Germany as the are ashamed by their inhuman acts of world war 2. Did you know that few years back Germans were not tough WW2 in their history course so they could ignore their bad deeds, And the Holocaust isn't hidden, READ ANN'S DAIRY

Conspiracy theories about falsified history are relatively new. I can't remember any of them before about 1980. After that, weird people started trying to make out that, for example, the Holocaust maybe never happened, or the Roswell Incident maybe did happen. Rubbish. You would have to have lived in the 1950's to realise it is rubbish for at least the following two reasons.

1. Nobody had the motive to do such a thing, and the motives that conspiracy theorists invent, and find convincing to themselves, are completely unconvincing to people who were alive then. That is simply not the way that anybody in government or out of it would think. It is nowadays, but it wasn't then.

2. Nobody had the technical resources to do such a thing convincingly enough. Maybe they have now, but they certainly hadn't then.

And specifically, about the Holocaust, the Nazis were so clearly guilty of so many other detestable war crimes all over Europe that nobody would NEED to invent the Holocaust to make them seem any worse than they actually were. They were bad enough already to justify all the action that the Allies took against them.

Hitlers intention was to make Germany strong and unite the Germanic people. The Jews had bled Germany following the shameful Armistice. The "Final Solution" was not really Hitlers idea. You might ask why the Jews have gone to lenths to obscure the facts of history including the awesome number of people other than Jews who were killed at that time. I new Germans who had smuggled out Christians who would have been irradicated.

It wasn't hidden. It was ingored.

..Like I said before ,,it did happen..and why do people lie about anything going on..yes it is a cover up ,,and all the people that tell you it didn't they are lying too, or they have been brain washed into being told that it didn't..Yes many other people died not just the Jewish people, the reason that it stands out more, is because More Jews died. also Hitler hated the Jews the most...as i said before..he only wanted a certain kind of people on this earth..Natzis....was the same as the K.K.K.....(same).and yes a lot of that, is also not all out in the open either...

Why do people keep trying to deny it.
I have been to both Dachau and Auschwitz, it is pretty obvious what they were for. Also there are thousands of photographs taken both by the Germans during the exterminations, and by the Allies during the liberations of the camps which are pretty clear. When at the camps, they have piles of hundreds of sets of shoes, glasses, gold teeth all sorts of things taken from those exterminated....
