In general terms a basketball jersey would not be considered a craft. Now, specifically, items are considered to be crafts by how they are made - factory made, handmade, etc. If the jersey is handmade it could fall under the general classification of being a craft. The next qualification would be how it was made - machine sewn, hand sewn, knitted, crocheted, handwoven, etc. Then the other question that could be asked is how the material that the jersey was made out of was made - commercially made cloth, hand dyed cloth, handwoven cloth, hand spun yarn, etc. So yes, a basketball jersey could be considered a craft if it meets the qualifications to make it one.
