Does it mean the person is always sad? I'm just wondering because I've seen a few and I can't imagine why I would use one.

It means that what happens to them on this forum makes them sad, like the harassment I've been through along with Iris, Cyrus, and Kriss with a K all because some jerk is not finished proving to Iris that he hates her, along with everyone involved with her, and can do her harm so long as she participates in this forum. But I myself refuse to make my avatar sad or mad cuz if I'm gonna get suspended, I wanna "die" with a smile on my face!

The person is probably sad, or depressed. Or maybe just has a preference for that avatar.

maybe they are cryin because their avatar looks like everyone else's. If they pop into my 360 page I have loads of avatars that I've made to give to anyone that wants one.

maybe they are sad at that moment.. or maybe if u give a harsh answer.. they can cry immideately...
but i dont like to see those avtaars.. its very depressing..

it can mean many thing but some I know who has one has it because her brother died so she was in mourning.
