For the same reason other people do! the power and grace of a horse is awsome. Honestly I cant tell you the thrill of being on this animal and be coming as one., you need to ride one. i know what you are trying to say and shame on you for taking something so splend ed and trying to dirty it. I do feel sorry for you.

Because the connection between a horse any man or woman is great. The feeling of flying (in a way) when cantering. It gives a bond to both the horse and rider. It is a sense of freedom. And that not only for woman, where did you get that? Men love riding too. Where do you think all the great champions come from.
Though, there are more male champions who jump horses than females who do slow but beautiful drassage.
PS. Is that how to spell drassage, or is it dressage?

It can be explained from a different point of view.Riding a horse gives women a sense of domination and being in control which many of them lack in real life. so they like riding them for mental satisfaction

Social reason: Boys can have motorbikes and cars while it is socially acceptable for girls to ride horses. Also the love of horses from when girls translates to adulthood (source of freedom).
