It is called monosomy. Usually fatal before or just after birth, but sometimes monosomes of the X chromosome survive. They are always female and many live normal lives.

Monosomy and trisomy of chromosome 21 gives almost the same phenotype - Downs Syndrome. Some are close to normal and others are severely affected.

It's possible for someone to be born with some extra chromosomes or a few missing chromosomes. This generally causes extreme effects. Downs Syndrome, for example, is caused by just one extra chromosome (a third copy of the 21st chromosome).

Turner Syndrome is caused by having only one X chromosome and no Y chromosome--most fetuses with this disorder spontaneously abort--the fetus dies before it is even born. Those born with Turner Syndrome are likely to have heart problems, fertility problems and other problems. And that's just from having one missing chromosome!

As for missing one copy of all 23 chromosomes--that's going to be fatal from the get go. The fetus would spontaneously abort very early in the pregnancy.

If a person is born with only one then the D.N.A of that person would be different from other or it might be possible that he might not live after birth or he might not live long.
