I would suggest coconut shells instead of a bikini....bikinis are so boring and conventional! Make sure you get a couple of leaves to cover your bottom though. We don't want the bridegroom to lose his virginity to you instead of the bride on his wedding night!

Check with the other guests to see what they're wearing. Also check the invitation. If it calls for 'beach attire,' that means any family-appropriate bathing suits are okay. Best bet is to wear a one-piece or a sarong. You don't want to be the only one in a bikini, or you may look less classy than you had hoped. Also, don't wear a white or cream bikini... save that for the bride!
I'm a wedding planner in training and that's what I've learned... hope that helps!

im wondering the same thing myself. my dad's best man at this wedding, and it's gonna be a beach wedding, and im wondering if i should wear a bikini and accessorize it so i look like im dressed for the occasion. unfortunately, i dont think my mum would go along with it.

Play it safe and wear the bikini underneath a dress. If others are wearing bikinis, then it's very easy to just remove the dress.

You should probably ask the person who invited you. Most weddings that I have been to, I would say a bikini is not appropriate.

Why not? If you look good in it, you can take all the attention from the bride! ONLY if you don't like her, otherwise, wear a sarong over it.
