It annoys me and her other roommates. We all agree that iher singing is bearable to some extent, but she's doing it a lot, loudly and it drives us nuts. She believes that she sings really loudly like she was Mariah Carey or Celin Dion. Frankly, I believe her singing is as good as the top rejects on American Idol. We love her and don't want to hurt her feelings, so do we just spend the rest of our lives, tolerating it?

I don't want her quit singing altogether and become silent, but it's just too much.

hi
some times we do have to tolerate some persons.
i have one idea for u. take a good CD or cassette of her favorite singer, also take some roses with that gift. you also give her card write that " Dear friend we all love u we all wish that u sing. but sometimes it annoys us. dont get me wrong. spend your feelings with me but please in this case u should draw a line. we care for u and u do care for us. and at last write that u love her a lot.
best of luck! bye

u think u r being nice to her but u r just talking behind her back.it might hurt her but atleast she wont be made fun of.so tell her as softly as possible that she needs to join a singing class and practice a lot before going public.she might take the hint.

Ohhh! Inner joy and you cant join in? Think of it that way. Go ahead and say something like it's just a bit too loud. We like to hear you sing cuz we know youre happy, but keep it down on the volume please? Say with it with a smile!

very politely ask her not to sing. first tell her that you love her and do not want her to be completely silent. but tell her that you also have some right in the room and as you care for her feelings, she must also pay attention to your your needs and feelings in the room. talk gently to her. if she really loves you and if the relationship is really mutual, she must respect what you say.

Invite her to see My Best Friend's Wedding to hear Cameron Diaz sing karaoke. Then tell her she sings just like her. That should give her a clue.

true friendship is built on trust & honesty. I think, you should tell her. Yes it will hurt her feelings but it will hurt her more to learn from other people that she can't sing.

Well, don't let her try out for American Idol, that's all I know...
unless it's public humiliation you're really looking for...
