What operating system are you using ? If Windows Xp , then try CTRL+ALT+DEL to open task manager. This will show you a list of running applications and processes. Most are necessary back ground properties for the computer to function. Some , however , are simple ways for one company to over-power another and this can cause problems. If you are unfamiliar with the correct back ground processes then you might want to avoid this unti you've been given advise on which are necessities and which can be temporarily stopped. Secondly , you can visit control panel and ADD?REMOVE PROGRAMS , where you can remove unnecessary programs which may have become corrupt due to a virus or a malicious code. Of course , all of this is dependent on your ability to maneuver without hinderance and some infections will actually shut down the functionality of some areas to prevent your interferience with their master plan. Personally , I never let the SOB'S win. I'd rather completely wipe my hard drive and re-install than to allow the C.S. hackers any lengthly time on my system. If you are able to access the internet , I personally use a free protection (Trial ) br Grisoft. It's called AVG FREE and it run's silently in the back ground without problem until there is an intrusion and then you are given the final decision about quarantine - healing or removal. The home page will also show you the potential problematic viruses and ways to remove them from your system. You are given constant updates of newly found viruses...etc and Unlike a Norton or Macafee program, this is not an intrusive and often hidden bunch of files that can take weeks to get out of your system if not satisfied. If you don't like it , simply uninstall and move on ! Been using AVG regularly now for a few years . It's not perfect but it serves me well and I do not work for them and don't get paid (unfortunately) if you use it or not. I just know the level of frustration you are in and would like to help. E-mail me , if you'd like for additional info. Good Luck

Use a program like Norton Antivirus, or McAfee Virus protection. Both these, and other antivirus programs are available on download.com. Some cost money, some are free. Just install one, and do a system scan. This should probably find and help repair any viruses you have. Also, try ad-aware and spybot, which will protect against spyware and such.

hi, perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus and protect your PC. but you need to pay for the software
i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
download firefox for free:
