I think he meant the publication year of that book so whatever bible you own is not 2000+ years old, its a printed version that is like probably 3 years old.

I dont own any old books but I worked at a library sorting books and the oldest one i came across were 1813 magazines. Cant recall name.

If you mean the oldest as far as when it was written? The Canterbury Tales By Chaucer. I collect Houghton & Mifflin Cambridge books. They are the best!

If you mean as far as 1st edition.

I have a really old copy of Les Miserables By Victor Hugo and a really old copy of poems by a French poet named Ronsard.

Lots of my older books are in other languages...

I also have a really old copy of Piers Plowman. It's like, stupid old! and an original ancient two volume copy of Helouise and Abelard.

an origainl french copy of Ulysses... From 1922

I have loads of old and antique books but I think my favorite is a 1st edition signed copy of a book called; "Enough Rope." by a poet named Dorothy Parker... It is worth some cheese today!

I also have some 1st editions of Sexton and both a 2nd & 6th edition English copy (s) of the original bell jar by Plath but one isin't all that old, its from the 70's.

and some war time japanese, illustrated tourist books for children that are believe it or not... actually worth a small fortune!

A scrap book that my great grandfather, grandfather and now my father have kept going since 1901. Known as the black book. Full of the quirky and pivotal moments of their lives. From old war photographs to newspaper cuttings, letters and family mementos. Gives me such an insight into ordinary life for the past hundred odd years. Absolutely priceless to me.

A Betty Crocker cook book published in 1950 that my grandmother had.
It has tips on how to be a good wife & it is kind of funny how different women are today.
It has some of the best recipes I have ever found, I love it & use it quite often.

those guys probably don't own the iliad or the odyssey, two very popular books that were written around 900 bc, whereas the bible was written in draft form around 30-50 ad, and the king james version was published in 1611. even though people think the bible is the most important compilation of ancient mythology ever written, there were many great myths written centuries before.

Historia de la Conquista de Mexico, printed in 1704
and it is not a first edition of the book. I assume
your question refers to the printing date of the book, not to when it was written. I have a couple
of other books printed in the 1730's.

There are palm leave scriptures of other religions which are much older than Bible mentioned in the answers. Ramayana and mahabharata written in palm leaves and later printed in the form of books are much older than Bible. Similar is the case of Buddhist teachings in the printed forms are older. Mahabharatha book I won is printed in 1920.
