No. They are not the same as James Bond. Just because they are action movies doesnt mean that they are the same.

XXX and Mission Impossible are in a class of their own. The James Bond movies are different. There can be no comparision.

No. XXX is just dumb. Mission Impossible was on the telly about the same time the first Bond movie came out.

Yes. Absolutely !!
The 007 franchise has gotten worse and worse over the years, with ever such bad casting (Daniel Craig ? Did Orlando Bloom reject the part ?) And who could possibly replace Desmond Llewelyn's classic "Q" character? The new plots are now more comical than death-defying intrigue.
(How many times can you write about a sinister Orbital Satellite Death Beam ?)
I am sorry but our Hollywood think tanks have no other choice but to produce our own, homegrown, American version and quite possibly a Chinese version soon.

XXX, yes, Mission Impossible, no. MI has been around since the mid-sixties and originally focused on team play, not a single hotshot. With XXX though, we may be trying. God help us, I hope we fail.

Although Daniel Craig did say he was willing to do a full frontal scene on the news a while ago, so who knows?
We've had "Dr No", so maybe "Dr Yes,Yes,YES!!" is next.
