You'd create discomfort. Even if tried to make a joke out of it, you never know if there's going to be some Muslim Sympathizer at a Halloween Party who sees you who won't find it funny creating tension or even a scene.
That's like a bomb just waiting to go off. Better off to avoid it. Some may even think it's a reflection of your Religious Beliefs and people who are unfriendly toward Muslim Ideals and looking to blow off some steam may feel like using you for a punching bag.
There are a lot of pent up frustrations circulating. Better not to get involved even if you think it would be entertaining.

Yeah, it is too controversial. Go as something like the actors on the Fruit of the Loom commercials. All you need is a stupid hat, some tights and a handful of balloons.

If they had to take out the line "you like terrorists" in reference to the halloween costumes in the move in order to be *sensitive* to the people and times when they re-released ET for the 20th anniversary, I'm going to say yes.

Someone that you do not like I presume, and then ofcourse, you are going to call the FBI anonymously first to let them know where to find the party, right? You do know that your phone will be traced and you will be wisked away in the sweep as well, right? Just kidding. What in the world are you thinking!!! I know you can't be serious. Think about the possible consecquences!

You're going to incite a lot of hate if you plan on wearing that costume.
Halloween according to western customs/traditions is about playful mischief and celebration. It's isn't about inciting riots or religious/political debates.
Please think carefully about your intents and actions.
Peace.
