It's a sad movie and at the same time a great movie. I don't shed tears every time I watch it, but I always feel sad deep down inside. I can only watch it about once every 4 years or so because it drains a lot out of me. Titanic is a work of art.

Well, the 1st time I saw it,I was crying silently at the end for the way how so many people died.
i've watched it more than 50 times but still I shed a few tears even now.
I just cannot help crying over how horrifingly Jack dies, frozen in the ocean.
Rose's horrified face at realizing Jack's no more is sad enough.
Jack's frozen body floating in the cruel ocean is enough to turn me into a human hosepipe.

"My heart will go on...."

"Deeply regret advise you Titanic sank this morning, after collision with iceberg, resulting in serious loss of life. Full particulars later."
This was the message sent to the White Star Lines New York office from the Carpathia, as she started to New York with the survivors of the Titanic Shipwreck.

Movie lines:

Jack: Rose! You're so stupid. Why did you do that, huh? You're so stupid, Rose. Why did you do that? Why?
Rose: You jump, I jump, right?
Jack: Right.
Rose: Oh God! I couldn't go. I couldn't go, Jack.
Jack: It's all right. We'll think of something.
Rose: At least I'm with you.
Jack: We'll think of something.

I cried the first time I watched Titanic, because I saw all those people esp. little children going to die.
But every other time I watched Titanic I didn't shed a tear. why? I wasn't moved anymore, probably because all that fuss about L. DiCaprio made me realize it's just another movie

PS But I still cry every time i watch My girl when that little boy dies because of the bee sting

Each time I see films like Titantic and Pearl Harbor, I carry a very clear reverence for the people who died tragically in both historic events. This same sweeping feeling happens when I view video footage of the Titanic wreckage all along the ocean floor. One day, I hope to see the site with my own eyes.

I vowed never to watch it in 97 when the madness was about but nearly ten years later my partner "made" me watch it, and truth be told I didnt really enjoy it, and definitely didn't cry. I'm not hard or cold but I enjoyed the historical aspect much more than the love of the 2 characters.

I didn't cry but something sorta just welled up in me - it's almost like crying but it just didn't gush.

I didn't fancy the love story so much as the poignant portrayal of all the people reacting differently to death - I personally liked the five musicians who kept playing until they went under.

To distract yourself from crying why don't you play a game where you count how many times they say Jack - Rose - Jack - Rose - Jack - Rose. It's incredibly annoying!
